TV Adrienne Barbeau is Victoria's Mom on "Revenge"

"Revenge": Who's Playing Victoria's Mommie Dearest?
Oct 8, 2012
by Kate Stanhope

It's the (second) mother of all castings on "Revenge".

Months after tapping Jennifer Jason Leigh to play Emily's long-lost mom, the ABC nighttime soap has cast "Maude" alum Adrienne Barbeau as the mother of Victoria (Madeleine Stowe), TVLine reports.

Creator and executive producer Mike Kelley told the site that Barbeau's character "taught Victoria what it takes to survive with very little, with your wit and your looks, really."

Kelley continued: "We will learn how the monster that is Victoria Grayson was put together, and we'll learn that there's a lot of damage that went into this little girl that became Victoria Grayson — and that it was at the hands of her mother."

Keck's Exclusives First Look: Victoria's Mom Visits "Revenge"
Nov 8, 2012
by William Keck

She was Maude's liberal daughter, Carol, in the 1970s on "Maude". Now Adrienne Barbeau will play Victoria's wicked mother, Marion, on "Revenge's" flashback-filled November 25 episode on ABC.

"We're explaining how Victoria became Victoria," teases creator Mike Kelley. "If you think Victoria's bad, wait until you see how she got that way."

While the majority of the hour flashes back to 2006 (when Emily first met Aiden and Jack and Declan's father got caught up in some trouble), Victoria will also think back to when she was 15, "right at the point where you know the events happening around her are going to change her into the wicked woman we know," says Kelley, who eventually plans to have Victoria go search for her MIA daddy.
