Someone made an observation once that Jack Coleman was uncomfortable when he was playing Steven as gay. I think Al Corley was a better actor and didn't seem to have a problem with Steven as being gay.

Corley just made the mistake of publicly expressing his frustration with the producers not being able to decide whether Steven was gay or straight.

Emma Samms is a good actress, just woefully miscast as Fallon.

It was the climate of the times that made the producers and writers vaccilate about Steven's sexuality. He bounced back and forth so many times throughout the series that it was hard to remember if he was gay or straight in any given season. Gay men didn't watch the show for Steven however, they watched it for the over-the-top interplay between Krystle and Alexis.

I think Krystle and Alexis became favorite characters for the drag queens to play.

Susan Dey, would have made a good replacement for Fallon. Emma Samms should have been cast as Amanda. Catherine Oxenburg became a problem on the set which resulted in her termination. (This all could have been avoided, and there would have never been a need for a Fake Amanda)

Fake Amanda was not only played by a terrible actress, but what happened to Amanda's British accent? All of a sudden she went from a spoiled British brat to a valley girl.

And while no one could ever replace Pamela Sue Martin as the one, true Fallon, Susan Dey would have been a much better casting choice. But I believe she was in L.A. Law by that point. Not sure, but I think it was around that time frame.
