SEASON 2 ... about three episodes after jo arrives...

---living room---

(((Tootie on roller skates, skating around. jo, blair, and natalie watch tv. mrs. g is on the phone in the other room)))

blair: i'm bored.
jo: you're bored? i'm bored
tootie: i'm not bored!
natalie: that's because, tootie, you're gossiping and listening, and the rest of us aren't.
jo: and how is that even thrilling, tootie?
blair: she just picks up all this stuff and tells us - you just haven't been at eastland long enough to catch the stuff.
natalie: did you know sue ann was caught with her boyfriend?
jo: how'd you find that out?
(((tootie waves)))
tootie: i get around. oh, and get this, too... (((she stops talking)))
jo: what?
tootie: mrs. g is talking about a wedding!
natalie: a wedding?
(((she gets up and joins tootie. jo sighs and joins her, blair gets up and looks in at the door)))
mrs. g: the wedding's on saturday... oh well, of course, you'll have to come! you got the invitation, didn't you?
tootie: mrs. g's getting married tomorrow!
jo: no way. wait til she says "i have a nice dress for it" or something...
mrs. g: i have a nice dress for it..
jo: oh my god!
blair: how about we don't let on that we know about it til mrs. g breaks the news..
tootie: no i wanna congratulate her!
blair: yeah, be like that, and she'll start worrying where you heard..
jo: how about we just congratulate her w/out mentioning the wedding?
nat: thats a good idea... right?

--cafeteria--
(((mrs. g hangs up. the girls come in, and mrs. g begins to make lunch. nat stops her)))
natalie: no!
mrs. g: huh?
natalie: go get ready for your big day tomorrow... we'll (((sees how everyone looks mad at her))) work on lunch!
mrs. g: what's tomorrow?
jo: oh, mrs. g, you're so naive about tomorrow!
blair: is he cute?
mrs. g: i dont know what you girls are talking about!
jo: but we do... and...
tootie: congratulations!
(((mrs. g looks confused, and sighing says)))
okay girls i'll go get ready..

(((she leaves.)))
jo: she's suspecting something....
blair: well, its her wedding tomorrow...
tootie: lets tell mr. parker so he can tell everyone else!!
natalie: yea!!!
jo: no!!!

---later---
(((mr. parker comes in with a gift)))
mr. parker: my congratulations, edna!
mrs. g: for what?
mr. parker: what these girls have told me ((points to blair, jo, nat and tootie)))
mrs. g ((a lit. angry)): alright, thank you...
(((mr. parker leaves)))
mrs. g: girls!!!!

---living room---
mrs. g: you thought i was getting married?
tootie: i did, and i told everyone else and..
mrs. g: no, one of my friends is getting married tomorrow and i had to remind another one of our friends!
jo: tootie!
tootie: well, it sounded like it!
blair: i was actually beginning to wonder where our invitations were...
(((mrs. g laughs)))
mrs. g: well i'm not getting married...
tootie: and when you do, will you tell us..
jo: so tootie doesnt have to listen in?
mrs. g: oh girls, what would i do w/out you?
tootie: thered be no one to listen in to!
girls: tootie!!!

I like yours because they totally could've been real episodes of the show. I like other people's too, but yours just have that whole 80's innocent, funny sitcom thing. I don't know if that makes any sense or not, but that's the way I see it.

thanx!! yea, i luv all the others (especially folnatandmrsgrock85 ~ great stuff!) and its weird how i just get 'em in my head; watch enough season 1 and 2 and thats how i get them... or in school and that drives my friends nuts...

i just have a few things about it, tootie didn't wear rollerskates in season 2, they didn't have a phone in teh cafeteria, it was in the lounge, and how could mrs. g know that the girls thought she was getting married by mr. parker bringing in a gift... oh yea and mr. parker didn't arrive until season 3, other than that it was VERY cute... coulda been an ep for sure! coulda made it longer, like the girls glad she "was" gonna be married but sad she was leaving and them thinking about what they would do without her... and stuff like that.. hehe... my first fanfics were really short too... but it needed to be a few pages longer... hehe GREAT JOB!
