On Monday, "Fringe" stars Joshua Jackson, Anna Torv, and Lance Reddick spoke to television critics in Los Angeles, looking forward to doing their best work yet on the fifth and final season of the show, before hopping a late flight back to Vancouver, where the show films. By Tuesday afternoon, though, production had been shut down on the show.
Don't worry, "Fringe" fans -- it's only temporary. The work-stoppage, first reported by THR, was announced Tuesday. Stars John Noble and Blair Brown are both under the weather -- Noble missed the Television Critics Association press tour due to illness, while Brown was M.I.A. from Comic-Con for the same reason. Additionally, Jasika Nicole was recently shaken up by a minor car accident. The cast and crew were midway through filming the Season 5 premiere when they closed up shop. They'll have Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off, with production expected to resume early next week. It's unlikely that the brief break will have any impact on the airing schedule of Season 5, which is set to premiere Sept. 28. http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethe...mporarily.html |
