If you all want to laugh, that's your business. I guess I have not been a fan of everything of Don. I'm not one to lecture on "this and that" and make a big stink about it. You have a right if its your cup of tea. It's just not mine. That's just me, though. No need to start a revolution or campaign about it, I'd just turn off the tv or change the channel.

It was dumb. And personally, I wouldn't even call it a joke as I didn't find it funny at all.

Well I don't recommend watching CPO Sharkey because he made fun of black people all the time. CPO Sharkey is definitely not for everyone

Trust me, I don't. Like I said in an earlier post, I turn off whatever I don't like.

However, if he makes fun of all, then its good that at least he's an equal opportunity ridiculer.

Like anything, remarks have to be taken from whence they come. Don Rickles has been doing this style of comedy for YEARS, making fun of E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E; no gender, age, race, creed, color, religion, sexual orientation gets exempted. Given his off camera good nature it's almost as if his message is we should all take some time out to laugh at ourselves. And he can take it as well as dish it out. When he got roasted by Rich Little nobody laughed harder than Don.

But this type of lampooning is not my cup of tea. And does run the risk of backfiring. Because Don is non-abrasive off stage, and has been doing it for so long (over half a century), he's probably the only one who can get away with it.

Counter this with Jackie Mason, an entertainer who's abrasive with poor social awareness. Now he's gotten into lots of hot water with his stuff because his insults are personal. And has even gotten his lights punched out.
