Default Life With Lucy

This is my opinion bout "Life With Lucy"
After ABC canceled it why did she not just take the show to syndcation???? I mean Mama's Family did it? Why not "Lucy"? I thought it was good enough!

There's just not enough episodes for to put in on a regular schedule. There was only 13 filmed, on 9 of which aired. They could be used for a "Lucython" but not much more.

He/She means why didn't they produce more episodes for syndication. Maybe because it was such a flop on ABC, no market would pick it up.

Oh, sorry about that. I did misunderstand now that I go back and reread it. Yeah, I agree maybe it was because it was such a flop no one wanted to see it. Also, Lucy didn't really need another show in syndication she already had I Love Lucy(and the comedy hours), The Lucy Show, and Here's Lucy.

But you know, that's a very good idea nobody has ever brought up before. Now that we hear the show did well overseas especially, but Lucy was too stunned and humiliated at that point, to be cancelled and all!

Here are my thoughts,,,,,,I don't see any reason why they couldn't bring it back now.....I mean there are more Lucy Fans than ever....there is wildly active market for her memorbilia and it wouldn't be hard to bring those 13 shows into syndication on cable. I mean there were only 13 Lucy desi comedy hours, they used as a weekend filler , there would be no reason why they couldn't do it for LWL. Of course I still think Lucy should have her OWN Channel....but hey i am a little partial...at least with her own channel the ILL show wouldn't be as hacked up as it is when u see it on Tv Land.

Not to mention the 20 or so Lucy specials, then the guest shots on other people's shows, the quiz shows and talk shows, the movies and so on . . . Lucie could finally have a talk show of her own, filler interviews with survivors of that era, Lucy connections, Desilu shows, a memorabilia show, this could go on for days. . .

From what I have researched and gathered, The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy were not airing on any national network at the time when Life With Lucy was airing on ABC. Currently, the only ones that air on national tv are I Love Lucy, & The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour while the other three are locked in a vault collecting dust. I sure wish a national network or 2, or 3 would pick up all three of her later shows. That would be good because they haven't been on the air for awhile.

I would definitely watch the Lucy channel if it existed but at this point I only have tv access to ILL and TLDCH. Unfortunitely, her later shows aren't currently airing where I live.

I think we've all been pretty clear on the fact that we want to see the later shows, they must be asking too much money or something!
