The GSN marathon will air some of the very best moments of Dawson's game show career.

GSN will pay tribute to iconic television host and actor Richard Dawson with a special tribute and a marathon of Dawson's most iconic episodes as host of FAMILY FEUD and as a panelist on MATCH GAME. Dawson passed away in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 2, 2012.

The remembrance of Dawson will air beginning tonight through Thursday during the network’s broadcasts of Family Feud and Match Game. The Richard Dawson marathon will air on Thursday, June 7, from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (ET).

"GSN would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the Dawson family,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, GSN's Executive Vice President, Programming. “Richard was one of the most memorable and beloved game-show talents in the history of the genre, and we at GSN are proud to spotlight his talents with this special marathon and tribute. His wit, his style, and his genuine rapport with guests can never be duplicated, and fans will have a chance to relive some of his greatest moments."

The Richard Dawson Marathon will feature unforgettable moments, such as when Dawson first meets his future wife Gretchen, who was a contestant on FAMILY FEUD, the infamous "September" episode, when Dawson had to stop the clock because of his uncontrollable laughter when a guest responded to the question, " During what month of pregnancy does a woman begin to show?" with the answer, "September," and the marathon will highlight Dawson’s triumphant return to FAMILY FEUD in 1994.

Richard Dawson, born Colin Lionel Emm in Gosport, Hampshire, England, gained fame as Cpl. Peter Newkirk on the television comedy "Hogan's Heroes," and made history as a quick-witted game-show panelist on MATCH GAME and as the gregarious host of FAMILY FEUD from 1976 - 1985 and 1994 - 1995. Dawson became known for kissing female contestants of all ages "for luck and love." He won a daytime Emmy® in 1978 for his work on Family Feud.

Since its premiere in 1976, FAMILY FEUD has remained one of television’s most popular and enduring game shows. FAMILY FEUD pits two 5-member families against each other in a battle of wits, lists and survey responses. Steve Harvey is the current host of FAMILY FEUD.

It was a great tribute. One of their best in years.

I loved the Dawson birthday ep. that aired, where his sons and daughter-in-law surprised him and both families got to play Fast Money. One of my favorite episodes ever.
