CBS Cancels Newcomer "A Gifted Man"
5/13/2012 by Lacey Rose, Lesley Goldberg Despite the draw of Patrick Wilson and co-starring "Justified" Emmy winner Margo Martindale, the medical drama with a spiritual edge will not return for a second season. The show, which marked Wilson's first small-screen series regular role, was a modest performer for the network on Fridays, airing both at 8 and 9 p.m. Its March 2 season finale drew 9.7 million total viewers and a 1.4 in the demo, placing third for the night. Patrick Wilson tweeted about the cancellation late Saturday night: "So...shocking to no one: A Gifted Man is done. Found out via email...and not from the network. Stay classy. Thanks to AGM fans!
