Fox Renews "Raising Hope"

Fox announced Monday that it has picked up its Tuesday night comedy "Raising Hope" for a third season.

The news comes a month ahead of Fox's upfront presentation to advertisers and several weeks into the network's pilot season.

"'Raising Hope' has established itself as one of the smartest and most unique offbeat comedies on television," Fox Entertainment chief Kevin Reilly said in a statement announcing the news.

"Raising Hope" is regularly luring 5.6 million viewers per week this season and a 2.6 rating in the key demo.

Another season with the Chance family sounds good to me.

I like the actors on the show, but it is really hit or miss to me. Sometimes it is really funny, and sometimes I think it is really stupid and don't get through an episode before I watch something else.

Two things for next season.

Jason Lee as Earl Hickey coming to the Chance's to correct a wrong he remembered to put on his list. I know that Lee has already played a character, but they can play more than one (and it happens all the time.)

Make Kate Miccuci a regular.
