Why Did Allen Payne's Son Malik Leave The Show?
What's Malik's real name? I miss seeing him as Allen Payne and Demetria's son. I liked his character. Why did he leave the show?

He left that show last year and is starrring in his own show on Disney sitcom along with Tichina Arnold (Martin, Everybody Hates Chris). He still pops up on HOP here and there. He has appeared in a handful of episodes for this final season of HOP. They wrote his character as going to college now which is a sensible move since he's working on another show. |

I remember when his character did some bad stuff, started associating himself with the wrong crowd and he once got in an intense & emotional argument with CJ. Malik had started experiencing pot, his dad found out about it and confronted him about it. Malik jumped up in his face and vented all of his anger and frustrations, as well as those involving his mom being a drug addict. I almost thought that the two were going to start fist fighting, but they didn't!! Malik has been through a lot, facing peer pressure, bullies, avoiding a pedophile, and even associating himself with gangbangers. But he managed to overcome all those odds and moved on to college. |
