I was still watching, and in my opinion Marion Ross and Tom Bosley were the heart of the show after RH left -- and there were still some very good efforts from Anson, Henry, Erin, and Al Molinaro.

This show, in tandem with Laverne & Shirley, was one of the most important ABC franchises by far. The idea that it should have been killed after RH left I just don't agree with at all. So what if the quality suffered -- virtually any sitcom that's on for several years will experience some downturn anyway. Just my 2 cents -- I still enjoy looking in on the post-Ron Howard era.

Which episode was the principal in?

I always thought the Episode "Kiss Me" when Chiachi was disguised in the back of the class as Guido Templeton was funny. Instead of cigarettes in his shirt he had a box of milk duds rolled up his sleeve. It was so silly it was funny. It worked.

I think the show wasn't as good w/o Richie and Ralph. Something was just missing from the show when they left. Im a little surprised Potsie didnt get more story because Richie and Ralph were gone. There might have been too much Fonzie after Richie and Ralph left. The aura about the Fonz was that he was this cool motorcycle guy but as the show went on, he became a teacher, owner of the garage and half-owner of Arnolds. I think the aura left because he changed so much.

Anson williams should have been fired after ron howard left because it was no need for his character anymore. Since Richie and Ralph was gone why was Potsie still needed? He wasn't friends with fonzie so his character became pointless.

That's like Rerun still being on What's Happening after Raj and Dwayne go to the army
