well, Doogie used to be on everyday on WGN, TBS, and i think PAX. it ran for four years, 1989-1993, on ABC and usually short-running shows no matter how popular aren't in syndication for too long because there's not enough episodes. a four year prime-time show that airs like 24 or 25 shows a season will last way less than a year in everyday airing because at 25 shows a season for four years that's 100 episodes give or take any "special" holiday hour-long installments that might not be shown in the syndicated package. well, the stations are looking at 100 Doogie shows to re-broadcast. some stations will show the whole series while others will select certain ones to air. anyway, after the initial syndicated run is over most stations don't repeat them over and over because of cost. the show was good but it could've been even more provacative with Neil Patrick Harris in more love scenes.

It used to air locally on one of my channels but that was in the late 90's.

Man your stations sound weird. My station is simple WABC-TV 7. Doogie used to air on WABC-tv 7 on its original run and on WPIX-TV 11 on syndication in 1996 at 6:30. It came after Growing Pains.

I know that this is an old thread, but the Hub has been airing this show four nights a week for quite a while now.
