Default Day Show

I have 3 episodes of THE DORIS DAY SHOW I'd be willing to trade, to anyone who cares. The show had 3 different formats during its 5-year-run. AND 3 different casts, too. Allegedly, Doris was SOOOO difficult to work with, nobody wanted to stay for very long. In fact, she won something called "THE SOUR GRAPES AWARD" a couple of years in a row for being one of the least cooperative celebrities in television....a monster...

All 3 are from syndication. The show had 3 formats, I have one from the original format (DENVER PYLE), and two from the 2nd (MCLEAN STEVENSON/ROSE MARIE). I have NONE from the 3rd format (JOHN DEHNER/JACKIE JOSEPH).
All 3 are pretty good color quality.

I was watching her E! True Hollywood Story and I know that she decided to change the format once because she didn't like the way it was going. And she didn't even want to do the show in the first place. Her husband at the time had just died and she came across some papers that said he had obligated her to doing the show without his consent. One of the many things he did without her consent. He spent A LOT of her money without telling her where it was going...but that is a whole other story.

Anyway I doubt Doris Day was a "sour grape." That is where I was trying to go with all that.

I don't know where you got your information that Miss Day was hard to work with. Now that all of the seasons have been released to DVD, if you watch the various interviews with regular cast members like Rose Marie and Bernie Kopell, they only have wonderful things to say about Miss Day. Plus, you'll note that over the course of the series, several guest stars keep popping up in different episodes. Testament to the fact that Miss Day was a pleasure to work with.
