Quentin Tarantino talked about doing an anime prequel to the Kill Bill movies.
It was to tell the history of The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. Tarantino hasn't talked about doing this idea in years. He even stopped talking about it before David Carradine passed away in 2009. |

Development hell....
House Of ReAnimator The sequel, which reunites the original team (director Stuart Gordon, producer Brian Yuzna, writer Dennis Paoli and lead actor Jeffrey Combs), focuses on a Bush-like president who dies in office. His staff covertly brings in Dr. Herbert West to reanimate the Commander in Chief, and the expected chaos ensues. William H Macy was even signed on to play The President. |

After Rambo (2008) Sylvester Stallone talked about doing a fifth one.
The general plot was said to involve Rambo going after a human trafficking ring on the U.S./Mexico border. Stallone officially scrapped the plans in 2010 and he then went on to do The Expendables. |

There's a third Star Wars trilogy George Lucas conceived that picked up where Return of the Jedi left off. He originally planned to make it but decided to make just the 1999-2005 prequel trilogy instead.

There was supposed to be a sequel to Superman Returns (2006) with Bryan Singer returning to direct and with many of the cast coming back.
The sequel was originally announced 4 months before the Returns premiere for a mid-2009 theatrical release. Filming was supposed to start by mid-2007 but Singer had to put it on hold when he produced Valkyrie. Then the 2007-08 Writers Strike delayed things even more and then the release was pushed to 2010. Ultimately nothing ever happened with "Superman Returns 2". |

Gremlins 3, been hearing about this one for years...most likely we'll get a CGI reboot.
Evil Dead 4...What could have been...it was to pick up where the Army Of Darkness original ending version left off. Creepshow 3...years before the horrendous Creepshow III(which has zero involvement from Romero or King)...animated film director Ralph Bakshi was in talks to do a totally animated part 3. Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins....I'm assuming from the title they had planned on sequels. Child's Play 6....Chucky writer Don Mancini had planned on a sequel to continue where Seed left off....now a Chucky reboot is in the works. Friday The 13th Part 6....Friday The 13th Part V A New Beginning left the film with Tommy being the new killer in the franchise, then Jason Lives came along and ignored it....personally I would like to see where the franchise would have gone. |

"A Tsunami threatens to wash the Bay Area off the map."
The San Andreas Fault is not the kind of fault that generates Tsunamis. It's called a "Strike-Slip" Fault, whos respective sides, the North American and Pacific Plates, move side to side during a Quake. About 100 miles north of San Francisco, the north American Plate overruns the Pacific Plate offshore, becoming a "Subduction" Fault. These are the kind of Faults that launch Tsunamis, as the plates now move up and down instead of side to side. The Displacement of water results in a Tsunami. A Quake in the early 1700s caused a Tsunami that raviged the Future US and Canadian Coasts, and reached as far west as Japan. Japanese records tell of what they called an "Orphan Tsunami" (A Tsunami that wasn't preceded by an Earthquake) that killed thousands of people there. |

![]() On Page 2 there was a post about a Sequel to the 1974 Disaster Movie Earthquake that was supposed to take place in San Francisco, and a Tsunami was part of the plot. I hope this clears things up a bit. I read somewhere there was also a sequel planned for Fantastic Voyage. This time the crew would take a Miniturized Sub Ride through the body someone who was supposed to Testify against a Mob Boss. The Victim of an attempted "Rubout", the crew was to do another internal operation to save that persons life. Naturally, someone in the crew would be a member of the Mob, and that person would attempt to sabotauge the mission. |

A preview for Dumbo II, which was to be a straight-to-video sequel, was featured on the 2001 60th Anniversary DVD of Dumbo.
The website Magicalears had an explanation back in 2003 on why Dumbo II never happened: "Disney Television Animation is still trying to decide whether or not it wants to go forward with CG sequels. Disney was serious enough about this idea that it had Joe Grant, the 95-year-old Mouse House vet who was actually the supervisor of story of 'Dumbo' back in 1940-1941, come in last year to view test footage of several CG versions of the flying pachyderm. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you feel about CGI squeezing out traditional animation as Hollywood's choice du jour), none of the 'Dumbo II' test footage was quite up to snuff. So Disney Television Animation opted to put 'Dumbo II' on hold for a year or two until enough advances can be made in computer animation so that direct-to-home-video-and-DVD sequels could be produced to these 1940s era Disney classics that actually looked like the original animated films." Dumbo II never happened and Disney has never officially revealed the reason for why it never came to be. Joe Grant, Dumbo's original story supervisor brought in for the sequel, passed away in May 2005. Here's the preview for Dumbo II: |

Aside from the above mentioned, there were some other canceled Disney home video sequels. Just a few years ago, there was gonna be an AristoCats sequel, and (even though I forgot the link), there was even gonna be an Oliver & Company sequel as well.
But alas, all those, and other Disney Home Video sequel plans, were shelved indefinitely when John Lasseter took over DisneyToon Studios. |

There were talks off-and-on since the mid-1990s about a fourth Beverly Hills Cop movie.
Eddie Murphy said in an October 2011 interview that the fourth film isn't happening and that he is currently working on a Beverly Hills Cop television series instead. |

Dee Snider has talked about doing a sequel to his cult-horror hit Strangeland (1998) for years.
In January 2009 Snider announced on his official website that production on Strangeland: Disciple will go into production later in the year. Between 2009-10 Snider was talking very enthusiastically about the sequel in various interviews and on his radio show. He even said that Robert Englund had agreed to come back. Then the talks of the sequel came to a stop and there was no word on any updates for over a year. In August of 2011, a fan asked Dee Snider on his official Twitter about what's going on with the Strangeland sequel. Snider's answer was "Dead in the water. #soeffingfrustrated." |

Regarding the X-Men franchise there was supposed to be an origins movie based on Magneto aka Erik Lehnsherr.
It was announced shortly after X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) premiered. However, Magneto's background was heavily featured in the new X-Men: First Class (2011) so a Magneto origins movie seems pointless now. |
