Friend's wristwatch - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was looking for the episode where Ricky's smooth-talking friend (Bateman) is showing him his new wristwatch. I have no idea what the story was about for that show. I just remember the watch had a blue/green striped nylon band that looked really cool.

Does anyone know which ep this was? Thanks for any info.

Well, I found it. The scene is at the beginning of an episode in the first season (where he later goes to a piano concert with his dad who had started dating his secretary). Bateman is telling him about how he sold the tennis racket he borrowed from Ricky in order to buy it, but not to worry because he would be getting a new racket from his mom at Christmas which he would then give to Ricky.

Ricky then says he would give back the watch until that happens (after removing it from his friend's wrist and putting it into his own pocket). A very funny scene. He calls his friend a "cold sore on the lip of life."

They also showed him still wearing the watch in the next episode (where the little boy's family is living in a nearby cave on Christmas). I thought that was a funny added touch.
