Hey there!

Perhaps someone can help me with the answer to a question I've had for a number of years. I watched and liked Room 222 as a kid, and remember a character from the show. I cannot find any reference to it in any trivia book or website. His name was Herby
Considine, and he was a sometime student on the show. He talked with a funny, high-pitched, chirpy kind of voice. When Bruno Kirby began to show up in movies of the 1980's, I thought it was him, but others have denied it.

Do you remember this character? Can you find out who played him? If so, please let me know.

Hi, on the Internet Movie Database entry for Room 222 there is a Herbie Constadine character listed and they do list Bruno Kirby as playing the part. http://us.imdb.com/Guests?0063948

Hi,

I just read your post. I see that you found the answer; that it was indeed Bruno Kirby who played the enterprising Herbie Considine. He also appeared in the pilot episode of M*A*S*H and actually got the chance to appear (not with, but in) an episode of Columbo (By Dawn's Early Light) with his father, Bruce Kirby.

Bruno Kirby was billed differently at the time, as B. Kirby, Jr. Around the same time he appeared as one of the daughter's friends in the Disney movie, Superdad. Here is a link to Room 222 opening & closing credits on YouTube which include a billing for B. Kirby, Jr., as well as guest stars Jerry Fogel (who had been in The Mothers-in-Law) and Wynn Irwin (who would the next year be in Lotsa Luck):
