The problem: Sourness. The main characters on this show aren't just mean — they also seem lonely, which is a big problem for a show about a couple.

The fix: Finding a sliver of a beating heart.

Believe it or not, Whitney is getting better. The first episodes were overwhelmed by how much Whitney and her boyfriend Alex seemed to openly hate each other. Isn't having sex the worst? Don't you hate it when you never want to have sex and also you and your boyfriend have nothing in common and you're super cruel to each other all the time? Amirite, ladies? Luckily, the show's finding ways to show us why these characters care about each other or why their shared history is valuable to them, and giving them chances to be on the same team.

I find the characters on this show shallow and immature. They're the kind of people I would never hang out with in real life so why would I watch them on TV. In the future I won't be watching them on TV!

Oh I think this show is hilarious! I love it! I don't find Whitney and Alex mean at all. It's funny that no one ever mentioned how 'mean' Roseanne was when she had her show. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

No one mentioned it because that was the show, and it's a classic. WHITNEY is not, and never will be!

Whitney Cummings seems to be a Hollywood "It" girl though. She is red hot, she is popping up on everything. That can't save the show?

Hollywood 'It' Girl? HA!

She might be funny, but she looks much older than she is, and she's nowhere near a household name! Sure, 2 Broke Girls is a hit, but she's just a producer. WHITNEY is not a hit, and never will be. The only other things she's ever done that people might know her from are the Roasts and Chelsea Lately. Nothing will save it.
