American Justice/CC question - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I need help identifying a case. It was either American Justice or City Confidential. Anyways, it was about two criminals a man and a woman, I dont know much about the crime, except that they brought this man out to the forest, and shot him. Odd part about it, was that they filmed it, they obviously didnt show the bad parts on tv, but the story caught my eye when i saw it about a year ago, but havent been able to figure out who the main people in this were. What case was this?

Was it the one about the asian guy who had a crush on his tenant or roommate or something? She and her boyfriend took him to the woods, tied him to a tree, killed him with a meat cleaver (?), returned the meat cleaver to the store, where a customer bought it and had it in her house with the dead guy's DNA on it. Later they went back and set fire to the guy's body. He'd been dying in the woods for a couple days.

Or is it the one where the girl's boyfriend makes her shoot some guy and he films her doing it so that he can use that against her if she ever tried to leave him, or something like that? I think she was a runaway who ended up in FL, and that's where this happened?

American Justice (Notorious) episode title: Murder on the Boardwalk. The killers were Kosta Fotopolous and Deidre Hunt.
