Default Lingo (Which GSN Version do you prefer?)

With Lingo's return with all-new episodes and a new host, I ask you which version of GSN's Lingo do you prefer?

Chuck Woolery, host of many game shows such as Wheel of Fortune, Scrabble, Greed, Love Connection

or...

Bill Engvall, comedian, member of the Blue Collar Comedy Group?

I always liked Chuck I thought he was funny, great host, etc. I've seen a few of the newer lingo and I think Bill does a good job. I haven't seen the lingos with chuck so I can't comment but I find myself watching lingo more and more

Chuck Woolery has/had more class. Please stop hiring so-called comedians for game shows!!!!!!!

Chuck's version had smoother gameplay but cheaper stakes. Not even the progressive jackpot in Chuck's last 2 seasons did it much justice.

Bill Engvall does a surprisingly good job, but the pacing of the gameplay was inconsistent. Higher stakes than it was w/ Chuck and liked how they're playing for $$$ in the maingame, like the prize balls and like the giant shelf that they draw the Lingo balls from but again the execution and inconsistency of everything else surrounding the game hurts it.

Flaws: the biggest problem of all (IMO) is the clues themselves, which do not add anything to the game. While I liked that they've raised the stakes, this version has one too many up and down inconsistent flaws, namely w/ the maingame. The endgame also suffers a bit where the bonus round payout tier looked like it was written in 5 seconds and that the Lingos themselves seem to take a backseat on this version. I mean isn't the show's title supposed to be called "Lingo?" And the endgame doesn't even involve a Lingo at all. Plus, b/c the Lingos are the same value as the words in the maingame on this version, they're worthless. On Chuck's version, Lingos are worth more b/c they were hard to get. With Engvall, they also increased the number from 1-70 to 1-90 and the set # of words in each round (3 words, R1; 4 words, R2; 3 words, R3) were unnecessary. And the set looks like it seems to be too heavily borrowed from another GSN show Baggage and the new theme song kinda stinks, IMO.

Winner, Chuck's version has the smoother gameplay but Engvall's version has better payouts, albeit with a inconsistent gameplay system.

The clues are only used on Bill Engvall's version, which is another reason why Chuck's gameplay was executed better and made it more challenging and smoother.
