I've only seen a handful of episodes so far of Car 54, but this is the best of the bunch.
Jan Murray is hysterical- as himself- basically having a nervous breakdown from all the barbershop quartet music. That performance would have won a guest actor Emmy these days. |

I just saw "Boom, Boom, Boom, and it is rip-roaring hilarious.
And the ending scene (sniff) when a teary-eyed Captain Block says that this is the happiest moment of his life, when his "boys" win the contest was a winner. Question: Did Fred Gwynne (Muldoon) actually do his singing or was he lip-synching someone else? |
