"Love of Life"'s cancellation on the "CBS Evening News"
According to the IMDb, Love of Life's cancellation after 29 years was covered on the CBS Evening News, which showed a crestfallen Sammy Davis Jr., its No. 1 fan, watching the final episode. After reading this I have to wonder, did this indirectly led to Walter Cronkite's 1981 departure and replacement with Dan Rather?
