I was an extra on the new Dallas pilot! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey everyone, as you can see by my forum name I am a major Dallas fan for many years now and had the incredible luck to get to be an extra on the new pilot, at Southfork on set with Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Steve Kanaly, and Charlene Tilton! I got to meet them all except for Linda, and sadly Larry had already filmed his part and gone back to LA. I met some of the new cast as well, but Patrick took the cake as the nicest guy. He took a picture with me even though he wasn't supposed to and he could really tell I was like the one majorly huge fan there-I was so tongue-tied I could hardly speak, and I was shaking with excitement, but I managed to get out what a huge fan I was of his, Dallas, and Step By Step. I think he felt the love, ha ha. He said we'll take another picture right here in 10 years, he was very sweet. Anyway, whenever they finally pick it up and air this thing will be incredible-I don't know if I'll get the chance to be an extra again and meet more of the original cast including Larry and Linda but I will certainly try. I got to live the dream and meet a hero, right there at SF, enjoy the pic! It was a moment I will treasure forever.

Hey congratulations.

Patrick has always come across as a down to Earth guy. I'm glad you got to meet him. I've been a major Dallas fan for years too. I hope the new show gets picked up. I'm looking forward to it.

GREAT picture!!! Bobby was always my favorite male character. Is that in front of the garage at Southfork?!?

Yeah, that's it alright! Adds an extra layer of awesome to the picture doesn't it? I was lucky that it happened to be right at that spot when he had the chance to do it.
