Default Does Anyone Remember ...

DOES ANYONE REMEMBER...

A late 70's or early 80's sitcom about a brainy, wirey-haired, bespectacled, white kid growing up in New York City, two professional parents (i.e. doctor/lawyer?) and his day to day adventures in attending school and just being a teenager in NY.

I don't remeber much more other than one classic line from the series - as he and some buddies entered the subway station (or perhaps the subway train itself) he commented: "Mmm. Really tangy urine odor this morning!".

Maybe also an episode about SAT anxiety?

I've been trying to call the name of this short-lived series to mind for years. Alas, to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. It's possible that the title included the character's name and that the logo for the show was sort of a medallion.

I believe the series you are thinking of is "The Marshall Chronicles" which starred Joshua Rifkind as 17 year old Marshall Brightman, who looked and sounded like a teenage Woody Allen.
Marshall would often address the camera while talking about his life growing up in NYC.
His father Michael was a doctor and Marshall pined for Melissa Sandler, the girl in the fuzzy pink sweater, who dated Johnny Parmetko, the class thug.
The series aired on ABC Wednesday night at 9:30 but it was not a late 70 or early 80s show...it's six episodes aired between April and July of 1990.
