Unfortunately, we live in the entertainment age where everything has to be "dark" and "edgy" and the anti-hero rules.

Do we ever hear about celebrities who do good, positive things? No, we get an endless barrage of stories about Sheen, Lohan and the ones who always get in trouble and grin evilly as they avoid punishment for their crimes and slights against others.

I have no issue with the Angels being ex-criminals. Jim Rockford was an ex-criminal. Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry were ex-criminals. TV shows have been telling the stories of criminals trying to make right for decades.

I don't like them being ex-cons, but I think the greater wrong is moving it from LA to Miami! I always thougth the title had two meanings, (1) beautiful women doning good, & (2) they live in the city of angels. If they move to Miami you might as well rename them. Since they are ex-cons, how about Charlie's Siners. lol
Also I do not like the new Bosley. He should not be that young or good looking. Doses everyone have too look "hollywood perfect"?

As someone who watched the pilot, it is really good. Give it a chance. It has a nice mix of the original series and the movies.

...because of the theatrical movies, the "new and improved" TV series has to be "edgier" {Miami over Los Angeles, "ex-cons" instead of "ex-cops"}, for a more jaded audience; if Aaron Spelling were still alive, and tried to peddle the original version of the series to broadcast and/or cable networks, he'd have been laughed right out of the executive suites!! Whether this edition makes for an equally successful series [i.e. CBS' new version of "HAWAII FIVE-O"- more "hip" and "action-packed"- is doing "merely okay" in the U.S., but is a roaring success overseas, which is why a season two is virtually guranteed for next fall], we shall have to wait and see.....
