Freshmen series "The Event" has been canceled.

The show premiered strong, but its viewership slipped drastically throughout the season and just couldn't gain any momentum after its winter hiatus.

However, it might not be completely dead: Deadline is reporting that the producers are shopping the show to other outlets, including Netflix.
