Raymond J. Barry to Guest on 'Law & Order: CI'

While Law & Order: Criminal Intent‘s Detective Goren hits the couch to address his demons, partner Alex Eames will take a small personal journey of her own this season, via the introduction of her dad, TVLine has learned.

“We meet her father, which is a joy to me,” L&O: CI vet Kathryn Erbe shared with me Monday night at USA Network’s upfront presentation. Playing the Very Important Parent is Raymond J. Barry, who most recently has played father to Timothy Olyphant on Justified.

Erbe says she and Barry share “very, very meaty scenes” when a case leads Eames and Goren to the former’s hometown of Inwood. As for whether dad and daughter get along, all Erbe would tease is, “It’s complicated!”

Law & Order: CI premiered its 10th and (technically) final season this past Sunday at 9/8c. An air date for Barry’s guest star appearance was not readily available.
