Default just weekends

well, Hallmark already changed their new schedule, so that EN will just be on weekends. It is so lame, because most of their other shows are so overaired (anywhere from 3-5 hours a day!), that they can't even just show one or two eps of EN on weekdays?

At least it will still be on in some form, but they can do better.

Default Boy...

Hallmark can't seem to keep a planned schedule going, can it?

Airing between 3-5 a.m. and 7-9 a.m? Very appealing times. Not.

What's weird is that Zap2it and even my satellite search grid say that Empty Nest will air every weeknight with a 4 episode marathon, but every time it gets closer to those marathons, it changes back to Cheers. It's as if Hallmark registers the episodes in those blocks, but changes their minds last minute to put them back on Sunday. Weird.

Also, is it just me or does it seem that Hallmark has been playing the same selection of episodes over and over again (particularly from the 2nd season)?

I noticed this too. I went to excite to check the tv listings and it looks like they'll be airing more season 2 episodes at least for the next 2 weeks.

What's weird is that many of the upcoming episodes (starting with M.D. POV) already aired in the Sunday marathon like 2 weeks ago. I wonder if Touchstone only leased a certain amount of episodes to air like Columbia did with Mary Hartman back in 2002 (only airing the first 30 episodes if I remember correctly) and like Warner Bros. did with Perfect Strangers in 2002-2003.

The new time slots really stink. I hope they don't remove EN altogether, I would be crushed!

Now The Golden Girls has been re-run to death, airing on various networks, and running on LIFETIME over and over and over and over again. Sometimes you could catch it 3 or 4 times a day on lifetime. Now on Hallmark it is the same thing. Plus the entire series is on DVD. I am in no way dissing The Golden Girls (in fact overall, I do like the show), but the availability of The Golden Girls is extremely high and accessible no matter where you look. Empty Nest is not. I think it would be smart to put Empty Nest on Hallmark the same way they put the Golden Girls on there. It could then reach a whole new generation of viewers and that show could then end up on DVD.

Very few people remember Empty Nest, and I think that if it ever did go on DVD, it would unfortunately end up going the same route as another very good WITT THOMAS, HARRIS show went (i.e. Benson).

Empty Nest is an EXCLUSIVE for Hallmark. They should jump on the opportunity and promote it as such.
