The Mentalist's Patrick Jane must be a Columbo fan because..
In tonight's episode "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," he managed to catch the killer in the exact same way Columbo caught Dr. Flemming in the first Columbo pilot "Prescription: Murder," back in 1968.
