Hey everyone, what is your favorite episode of Starsky & Hutch and why?

I've only seen one episode and it was one with Art Fleming in it. I liked it but I want to see more episodes before determining which one is my favorite.

My own favorite episode(s) are from the show's second season.

Las Vegas Strangler Part One and Two

and ladies, if you ever catch this episode, either off television or from the DVD, chedk out the denim skirt that Lynda Carter is wearing, it is sooo damn cute...I wish I had one just like that in my wardrobe

Yes, the Las Vegas one was really good. Very good, actually. I like the one also where the daughter of the owner of the Football team gets kidnapped and they get the help of the psychic (sp?). I thought that was a pretty good one. And I've heard some people complain about the episode with Huggy Bear and Turk, where they are private detectives, but, personally, I thought that was a pretty good episode. I liked that one.

P.S. Yes, Linda Carter does look good in that denim skirt!!!! LOL! Linda Carter was really good in that episode. BTW, I found the dvd set for Wonder Woman Season One on sale at a used record store the other day. Well, I watched two of the episodes yesterday. They really didn't keep my attention, let's just put it that way. LOL! Now, I know why I've seen a few copies of this set for sale in used record stores!!! LOL!

Art Fleming was in an S&H ep? I'll have to look at my eps again to see that. I used to watch him in Jepoardy back in the 60's...

Even though I am a fan of the show, I am looking forward to the second season of Wonder Woman which in my opinion is far surperior than the first, which like you, did not hold my attention, and some of the episodes were down right tedious in their plots.

Yeah, I must be a sucker for buying Season DVD sets because when I read that they were coming out with a second season set for Wonder Woman, I thought to myself "hmmmmmm, maybe I might buy that and give it a second chance!" LOL! I loved that show when I was growing up. I have to say I do love the packaging for the Second Season set of W.W. It really looks spectacular! IMHO. One of my other faves from when I was growing up is also coming out in a DVD set---The Six Million Dollar Man. It will be interesting (at least to me, anyway) to see this after so many years (30 years????) and compare seeing it now and seeing it so long ago. I think that's what happened with W.W. I loved it as a kid but 25, 30 years later it just doesn't hold up compared to my memories of it. S & H, Baretta, Columbo, etc. are examples of 1970's shows that you can definitely feel the presence of the time when watching them (i.e., you can definitely tell that they were filmed in the 1970's) but that doesn't take away from how good they were.

I have not seen The Six Million Dollar Man Since the 1970s, and like you, I am looking forward to the DVD and the DVD release of The Bionic Woman, that is also going to be out on DVD format next year...Also, that is what made this shows great, is the fact that they are still entertaining after all these years

It's funny how some shows hold up and others don't hold up over time. I love watching the old TV shows/series. In fact, the only "current" series that I watch with any sort of regularity right now is Law & Order. Other than that, I couldn't tell you about any of the "new" "current" TV series on right now. I mainly watch TV Land reruns and my dvd sets of old shows. Anyway, my point is that some shows definitely hold up and are just as enjoyable for me to watch now as they were when they were first on. e.g., Andy Griffith Show; Columbo; Sanford and Son; Bewitched; Baretta; Starsky and Hutch; etc, Other series, though, which I loved as a child really annoy me now and I can't watch them--Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and Mork and Mindy are examples of shows that I absolutely loved while growing up but now 25 years later I really can't stand watching them. It's funny how some shows I have never gotten tired of and others that I once loved and now I can't stand. LOL!

I liked Black and Blue. The lovely Vonetta McGee guest starred as Starsky's temporary partner.

Shootout is my favorite. I love the way Starsky and Hutch work together in that episode. Even though Starsky has been shot, can barely move and is tucked away in a back office, Hutch keeps him involved and works hard to save everyone in the restaurant.

I liked the ep where George "Abner Kravitz" Tobias (Bewitched) guested. I'm blanking on the title of the episode and when it aired, but I believe that was Mr. Tobias' final screen appearance before he died in 1980.
