Default Things Looking Good for "Women of the House" on DVD

You can read the story on tvshowsondvd.com here

It's about halfway down the article.

While I am happy for fans of WOTH and love Delta Burke myself, I am not a fan of Patricia Heaton and I would much rather be assured that Seasons 5-7 of DW will be completed for sure.

Still, this is great news for such an obscure series and for a decent price, I will get it.

Never watched the show- would have been cool if Dixie Carter appeared, but I guess they hadn't made up at that time?

I don't like Patricia Heaton from "Everybody Loves Raymond" on, but she was hilarious in "Women of the House" (and the almost equally short-lived "Room for Two"). But the real stars of the show were Teri Garr and Valerie Mahaffey, who both devoured the scenery. As for the final seasons of "Designing Women," Shout! Factory's the ones with the rights to them; this spin-off is being released by Mill Creek. And honestly, I can't think of another failed spin-off that's gotten a DVD release, so I NEVER thought I'd live to see the day this one made it to disc. Hopefully they won't change the music or cut anything.

By 1994, Delta made up with Linda Bloodworth and Harry Thomason. I don't think she ever had problems with Meshach Taylor, who appeared in one episode, and husband Gerald McRainey reprised his role of Dash Goff. She did mention Julia a couple times, so if the show had survived a reunion might've happened.

A few years later, Delta and Annie Potts made up (Burke guest-starred on Potts' "Any Day Now") but the reunion with Dixie took even longer - it wasn't until 2001/2002 that they made amends (then Burke guest-starred on Carter's "Family Law").
