Actually, AW went off the air in 1999, but I watched it the last couple of years it was on. I was a Jake & Vicky fan, and a Cass & Lila fan. TD was before my time (I was only a toddler when it went off the air), but I have read articles about it, and seen various clips of it on YouTube. From what little I've seen, I liked it.

Default Of course, I do...

...I also recall when NBC used to have a "daytime schedule". From the mid-'60s through the early '80s, "THE DOCTORS" and "ANOTHER WORLD" used to appear back-to-back, 2:30 through 3:30pm(et); 2:30 through 4pm after the fall of '75...Colgate-Palmolive was the primary sponsor of "THE DOCTORS", as Procter & Gamble was for "ANOTHER WORLD"....

Never saw The Doctors, but I totally remember Another World. My mother watched that one for years back in the day.

I watched the last couple years of Another World, but never heard of The Doctors until years later. I loved the fashions on Another World.

My mother watched both. She says she always used to have her chores done every day in time to watch Merv Griffin and these soaps LOL! Think the were preceded by Days of Our Lives, as she watched that too.

I remember hearing an audio clip of an NBC staff announcer (don't know the name) say "Now stay tuned to You Don't Say, next in color on NBC."

That's exactly right! I thought it was an NBC announcer, but now that you mention it, Bill Wolff was the announcer then, and he did the opening and closing announcements. I couldn't place the voice until you brought it up.

I stayed with my grandmother during the summers and she watched the ones on CBS, As The World Turns, The Guiding Light, Secret Storm, and The Edge of Night. I'd sometimes watch them with her but as I got older & stayed at home, I'd watch the ones on ABC. I always liked General Hospital, Ryan's Hope and Dark Shadows.

I remember when AW had that opening with the ring-tunnel (the familiar wreath of interlocking circles coming forward and leaving a tunnel behind, similar to the opening of Sunday Morning then with the CBS eye) and how the two parts of the AW title came in from the top and bottom of the screen and turned into place, and also the silhouette of faces that preceded that. Does anyone else remember that?

I watched AW during the Anne Heche years, and stopped watching when she (and Cali Timmons) left, but I started watching again a couple of years before the show was cancelled. Now I've seen clips of those years I skipped on YouTube, and Jake and Paulina were the standout pair - they were amazing together.
