Question Anybody Out There Think 'The Critic' Was An UNDERRATED Animated Series?

Or did you think it was average?

Anybody even remember it?

Cool

The Critic was definitely underrated. The show was well written. The movie parodies on the show were clever. The characters were interesting and sympathetic. And Jon Lovitz was great as Jay Sherman!

Count me in as one of those who thought "The Critic" should have lasted longer. I actually have the complete series on DVD myself (bought it at my local Best Buy in the spring of 2004, it was worth every penny).

this show was great. I was watching a Simpsons episode from Season 6, and Jon Lovitz was actually in it playing this charictor. This whole show just got off to an awful start, it landed on the wrong network, for starters. If it was on FOX Sunday nights after the Simpsons from the start of the show i guentee you it would still be on, then it changed networks and ratings still sucked, and the story line changed a bit and it's a noticeable change from ABC to FOX. Plus, it has attempted to come back twice, Once with a shot on Comedy Central, and again as Webisodes. But nobody was really interested in this show and liked it, which was awful because it was a great show and it was defiantly unappreciated.

It was the wors.. Uh ..greatest show ever. Yeah that's the ticket. lol Seriously though I never saw it when it originally aired but the reruns I've seen were well written. It was funny but it never got off the ground. Plus 60%of the time switching networks usually kills a show.

I think your right. If this show had been part of the Sunday night animation block on Fox from it's inception it probably would have been a hit!
