Its too bad this series was treated so shabbily by Sony. Its nice Shout! got the last 3 seasons out, but why did Sony just abandon this series after 6, never any extras, (yet they put the original pilots and some commentaries on that massive Norman Lear set), and now they don't provide extra material to Shout! for the final season.
Anyway, thankyou so much SHOUT! FACTORY, and Sony thanks for nothing!! uke:

I don't see anything wrong with the cover. It kind of portrays Archie and Edith as "Empty-Nesters", following the departure of Gloria, Mike and Joey.

I too, thought they would include a photo of Stephanie, but I don't think it looks bad either. At least the series is finally complete. I originally was planning on S8 being the last for me, but I am so happy with Shout (aside from the authoring issues on S7) putting these out so fast that I will support them and buy this upon release.
Most people think that the studios have countless images in their archives to use for DVD cover art, but many times there is not much to choose from. The person who helped Sony created the box art for the last two Partridge Family sets said they had surprisingly little to choose from considering how many photo sessions the cast posed for. |

It's actually the same picture used for the Season 3 cover. They just cropped Mike and Gloria out of the picture.
