Gomer Pyle Meets the Meat Head!
Oh, the carefree life of a United States Marine during the height of the Vietnam War!
Gomer Pyle has to camouflage a communications truck during war games when three hippies, with IQs similar to his, join him. Talk about a "Meat Head," Bob Reiner, who played Mike in All in the Family, is one of them. Using their "Flower Power," the three paint one side of the truck with a hippie design, fooling the opposing team and winning the war games for Sgt. Carter's team. Gomer joins them in singing a beautiful peace song, and it is definitely one of the better Gomer Pyle episodes. Okay, I know it isn't an AITF episode, but it was still pretty good. |
