When Cougar Town premiered in the fall of 2009 it didn't seem like it would even last an entire season. Somehow the writers were able to revamp it quickly and it ended the 2009-2010 season as possibly television's most improved comedy. Since ditching its premise (older women dating younger men) the show and its ensemble has really elevated itself.

Actually, I enjoyed the first season a lot more than the second. Since they got her and the neighbor together it just isn't making me laugh like it did last season.
