Confused What is the appeal

Of the practically endless neverending parade and glut on daytime TV of courtroom shows, with crabby, irritable judges, because it seems that everytime you turn around on daytime TV there is a courtroom show.(And as I said before,I know that some people like them-I do NOT)

And when the dust settles, because daytime TV is a cutthroat business, and all of the rest of the courtroom shows("Judge Joe Brown","Judge Alex","The People's Court","Judge Jeaninne Pirro","Swift Justice with Nancy Grace",et.al.)have been cancelled,(which will happen someday),only "Judge Judy"will remain.Oh,by the way,was Judge Judy herself ever on "The Oprah Winfrey Show",and has Judge Judy ever met Oprah?

I can't stand any of those judge shows and unfortunately they are favorites of my coworkers so I'm forced to try and tune them out during breaks and lunches. Although I do admit to getting into some of the cases every now and then. Kind of hard not to, however.

I don't know,do those shows really appeal to alot of people? I don't think so.There are just too many useless tv stations and so they fill them up with all types of garbage programs that may appeal to a few but not many.If there were not so many tv stations that really have no business even being on the air,I think alot of these court shows and other garbage would go away and not be missed by most.

I'm afraid they DO really appeal to lots of people(I don't know why),you can tell by the good ratings they get,and unfortunately (or should I say fortunately for the shows and the stations that carry them, and there are a lot of stations that-like them or not--do,)they get good ratings. And that's very important in Daytime TV,because once these smarmy courtroom shows take a nosedive in the ratings, you'll see them cancelled faster than you can bat an eye.
