If anyone recalls, Joanie became a freshman during the 76-77 season while her brother was a senior. She did not graduate till the 81-82 season. I personally think this was due to the fact the producers were trying to put Joanie and Chachi together for a period of time. Any other opinions?

Yes but I also think it was because they wanted her to be more like Richies "LITTLE" sister. If she was just a year behind him or somthing it wouldn't be right. Know what I mean?

The only thing is that Richie had joined the army so if he was not around, she could not have played little sister to him.
