From the late Jack Webb and Universal TV?It was 1973-1974,and starred Mitchell Ryan,Wayne Maunder, and the late Gary Crosby(yes,THAT Gary Crosby,Bing's son)as a police unit who tackled "the tough cases, the ones nobody wanted".It DID show some promise.

I don't remember this show because I didn't watch it, but it was on for one season of 22 episodes. Maybe one day this can come out on DVD as a complete series set. Since it was a Jack Webb series from the 70's, it was probably an attempt to cash in on the success of other Webb series at the time like Adam 12 and Emergency!

'Chase' NBC 1973-74
'Chase' was part of a really good NBC Tuesday line-up where it led off the night followed by 'The Magician' at 9 pm and the anthology 'Police Story' at 10 pm. 'Chase' averaged 16.3HH for the season, but wasn't good enough to get a renewal, as it did performed worse when it got moved to Wednesdays at 8 pm at mid-season.
Nevertheless, it was an expensive series with all the action elements, and NBC needed a slot for 'Little House on the Prairie'. |

Yeah, considering the fact that NBC has a currently-running TV series of the same name?
