Remember when RTV (then RTN) launched and they had shows like Happy Days, Get Smart, The Brady Bunch, Hawaii Five-O, Family Ties, The Lucy Show, Love American Style, Beverly Hillbillies, Cheers, I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, and TONS more? They were all through CBS/Paramount, of course. They even showed old Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous episodes
it was amazing for classic TV.I finally got the channel after they lost access to CBS and dropped these...how many of you all actually got to enjoy these shows on RTV? Don't get me wrong, the Universal library they use now is decent, but CBS is very hard to top with classic sitcoms. They had a TON of variety. Seems like more people started getting the channel after they lost the CBS shows a couple of years ago. Maybe they can strike a deal with CBS again sometime, they could use some new shows. |

Of course the Paramount/CBS deal was made with the previous owner. The current owner, Luken Communications, maybe can't afford a deal with them. They have been making deals with smaller distributors which has allowed even more obscure shows to be seen. But yea, I would love for the old CBS library to come back.
