Until you can back that up with ratings, why would you say that?

Watching the preview, I actually laughed out loud more than once. It is an original concept that looks funny. All the other sitcoms are about a group of friends who are trying to figure out their love lives - come on, how many times have we seen that already and they don't look to be that great on top of that. And Bleep My Dad Says, seriously, just reading that title I could never watch the show. If someone asked you "hey what are you watching on tv?" and you answer "I'm watching Bleep My Dad Says, how awkward is that? Just because William Shatner is in it doesn't mean it's going to be good.

You guys are probably right, Outsourced will get terrible ratings and will be cancelled after 13 episodes or something. I find, though, that there a lot of sort of "niche" sitcoms, I guess you could say, like this one that only some people find good and get cancelled very quickly.

I remember "Welcome to the Captain" in 2008. I thought that was a quirky, fun-loving sort of show that many people would enjoy watching. It got cancelled after about 5 episodes. What really bothers me, also, is that these mid-season replacements (yes, I know Outsourced isn't mid-season) tend to be better than the regular shows yet do not stand a chance at having more episodes made.

Does anyone remember the sitcom "Big House" from around 2004 on ABC? It lasted 6 episodes and was very funny. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big...2004_TV_series)

You'd be lying if you told me that, say this was pitched to TBS instead, it would probably be "ad-supported cable's number 1 sitcom for the last 5 years"

Worst one "quality" wise. I've seen it. It's terrible.

Thumbs up My Fall Viewing: Live and Recorded

My Fall Viewing

Based on the bumper promos and fall preview specials seen to date, my three most anticipated new series are FOX's 'Running Wilde', NBC's 'The Event' and CBS's 'The Defenders'.

The new series that I'll be sampling this fall are in bold. If not available to watch tv, "Live" choice recordings will bump my "DVR" selections:

Monday:
Live: 'Chuck', 'The Event', 'Castle'
DVR: 'HIMYM', 'Lone Star'

Tuesday:
Live: 'Glee', 'Raising Hope', 'Running Wilde', 'The Good Wife'
DVR: 'No Ordinary Family', 'Detroit 187'
Wednesday:
Live: 'Lie to Me', , 'Modern Family', 'Cougar Town', 'The Defenders'
DVR: 'Undercovers', 'The Whole Truth'

Thursday:
Live: 'The Big Bang Theory', '30 Rock', 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Private Practice'
DVR: 'The Vampire Diaries', 'Fringe'

Friday:
Live: 'Medium', 'Supernatural'
DVR: 'Human Target', 'The Good Guys'

Saturday:
DVR: 'Saturday Night Live'

Sunday:
Live: '60 Minutes', 'The Simpsons', 'The Cleveland Show', 'Family Guy', 'American Dad', 'Brothers & Sisters'

Running far ahead of the pack in terms of most anticipated fall series is the new FOX comedy 'Running Wilde', which has already shown roughly an episode's worth of comedy in those jousting 30-second fall bumpers that have been playing all summer on FOX.

The shows I'm really looking forward to are (in this particular order):

1. Lonestar
2. The Event
3. Blue Bloods
4. No Ordinary Family
5. Detroit 1-8-7
6. The Chase
7. Outlaw
8. The Whole Truth

I'm probably forgetting some others or will end up enjoying some that maybe don't appeal to me right away, at this moment.
