Proof That NBC Was Stupid...Their 1992 Sitcom "Here & Now" Could've Been A Spin-off
They really could've capitalized on the success of the Cosby Show if the Malcolm Jamal Warner sitcom 'Here & Now' were a spin-off of the "Theo" character instead of an entirely new character and surroundings.

Yea I agree. The show was really about Theo in a community center. He just had a different name but he acted the same. He was doing the same thing that Theo was doing during the last year of the Cosby Show. I believe even Cosby was a producer of the show. I don't understand it either.

Exactly! If they had packaged it properly and made it into a spin-off called Theo or something...it probably would've lasted a lot longer than a cup of coffee. lol |

I'm not sure about that....my reason is that the cosby show's ratings had declined by the end of the series. So there wasn't much hope for a show being spun off from it.

i agree too i never understood why malcom just didnt continue as theo esp since the only new hit that nbc ended up having that season was mad about you this could have been a hit too or at least a modarate success and saved nbc from the near total wipeout that they had in the 92/93 season
