The Mayberry Falcon? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Howdy folks,

While viewing the Mayberry RFD episode, "Howard, The Swinger" I noticed a very well known Hollywood prop: The Maltese Falcon.

In the first scene at Howard's new apartment, there sitting on a table under a mirror is the Maltese Falcon statue used in the film "The Maltese Falcon." Since MRFD was produced at the Warner Brothers studios, I suppose it was lying in the prop department. I know there were at least two statues made for the movie.

"The stuff that dreams are made of" and it was in Howard Sprague's apartment wow! I wonder if Sam Spade knows about this?
