A New Version of "Voltron" Headed to Nicktoons in 2011
by Rich Keller posted Jun 8th 2010 Just in time for its 25th anniversary, "Voltron", the memorable, classic cartoon from the 1980s is being reincarnated for a new generation of viewers. According to Cynopsis, World Events Productions, in cooperation with Classic Media, will launch "Voltron Force", a new animated series that will air on NickToons starting in 2011. The two companies, who were previously working on a live-action "Voltron" movie, will work with "Wolverine and the X-Men" producers Kickstart Productions to produce an edgier and modernized version of the giant robot and its handlers.
