Shot in the dark here...does anyone know why Justin Chambers left the show after episode 4? I'm not complaining, because I like Scotty a lot better, but I like gossip. lol

If I had to guess I would say it was because he went to Grey's Anatomy full time. I disagree about him vs Scotty...I think they were/are both good...although Chambers got a lot less screen time.

Chambers didn't join Grey's Anatomy until 2005, long after he'd left Cold Case. My guess is that the chemistry just wasn't right w/ the rest of the cast. I do like Valens as a character, and he added an ethnic component that Chambers' character could not. Chambers may be better off now, since Cold Case has been cancelled but Grey's Anatomy is continuing into next season.
