Predict the Fall Schedule: CBS

Hello All -

Here's a thread to predict the fall schedule for CBS!

Here's my prediction:

Mondays
8:00 How I Met Your Mother
8:30 MIKE & MOLLY
9:00 Two and a Half Men
9:30 The Big Bang Theory
10:00 HAWAII FIVE-O
--- This is based on the presumption that Charlie Sheen will return to "Two and a Half Men." Otherwise, the whole schedule changes and "BBT" obviously goes to 9:00. I don't love this schedule but I don't see CBS taking risks. I really would love to see "Men" or "BBT" move to anchor another night and I almost even predicted it out of wishful thinking - but I don't think it happens. "Hawaii Five-O" is a sure to get picked up and I see it taking over the high profile Mon night slot

Tuesdays
8:00 NCIS
9:00 NCIS: Los Angeles
10:00 The Good Wife
--- I think CBS keeps Tuesday in tact for one more year. I know a lot of people think "The Good Wife" will go to Fridays but I don't see it happening yet. I also don't think NCIS: LA branches off on its own yet. This is their most consistent night and I don't think CBS breaks it up yet

Wednesdays
8:00 The Amazing Race
9:00 Criminal Minds
10:00 CRIMINAL MINDS SPINOFF
--- CBS loves branching out their procedural hits and much like NCIS: LA followed its parent this year, so will the Criminal Minds spinoff next year even with "lukewarm buzz". The 8pm comedies have got to go and instead of a drama, I say we see The Amazing Race and the comedies flipping nights. If I were CBS, I would try "Survivor" on Weds at 8 with comedies on Thurs at 8, but I don't see CBS being that bold

10:00 The Mentalist
--- I'm not sure CBS flips "CSI" and "The Mentalist," I think they could stay where they are but this might be the last year that CSI inhabits this cushy, long-held time slot

Fridays
8:00 Medium
9:00 DEFENDERS
10:00 CSI: NY
--- Fridays need a makeover and I see "Medium" as the only survivor. "Defenders" might struggle here but I don't think CBS is done trying to launch a show on Friday. Putting CSI: NY will stabilize the 10:00 slot. Even though it was falling apart on Weds at 10, it will do well with less pressure here

10:00 48 Hours Mystery
--- I wish CBS would try something here with their older-skewing shows but I don't see it happening

Sundays
7:00 60 Minutes
8:00 Undercover Boss
9:00 Rules of Engagement
9:30 BLEEP MY DAD SAYS
10:00 CSI: Miami
--- This is a bit of a change but CBS has too many comedies to put them all in the Monday block. The one hour from Wednesdays has to go somewhere if it doesn't stay there (which it shouldn't). ROE deserves a full season more than Old Christine and I say it finally gets a chance while "S**T My Dad Says" has generated a lot of buzz. Same story for CSI: Miami on Sunday as CSI: NY on Friday and in fact, they're probably interchangeable. The only issue here is NFL overrun, but CBS needs to jack up Sundays better to complement its new hit "Undercover Boss"



Midseason: CHAOS,, Ghost Whisperer, New Adventures of Old Christine, REAGAN'S LAW, TEAM SPITZ, WTF!
--- I'm mixed on if some of these will actually get picked up. I do think "Old Christine" and "Ghost Whisperer" get one more chance from CBS to fill any failure shows. "WTF!" sounds like a good cheap filler and the other three new shows are based on what I think are the most promising, I'm really not sure about these ones.


Cancelled/Ended: Accidentally on Purpose, Cold Case, Gary Unmarried, Miami Medical, NUMB3RS, Three Rivers
--- I'm sad to see "Cold Case" go but CBS just doesn't have room for underperformers especially since they won't try Saturdays

If it's gone, it will be because CBS and Sheen can't agree on a new contract, not his legal problems. Either way, I suspect it'll be back, I think these are all negotiating ploys
