Tawny Kitaen Arrested For DUI - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

BEACH, California — Police in California say former actress Tawny Kitaen has been arrested for investigation of driving under the influence.

Newport Beach police Sgt. Shontel Sherwood says Kitaen was arrested at about 3 p.m. Saturday when officers suspected she had been driving her Range Rover under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Kitaen was released after posting $2,500 bail.

William Briggs, an attorney who has previously represented Kitaen, did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

The 48-year-old Kitaen recently appeared on the VH1 reality show "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew."

She first found fame appearing in 1980s music videos for future husband David Coverdale's band Whitesnake. She also played the bride-to-be of Tom Hanks' character in the 1984 film "Bachelor Party."

So sad. I had so much hope for her after her stinit on Drew's rehab. Hopefully this is just a slip for her.

Funny, I could have cared less about her before I saw her on that show. I usually end up feeling for all of the ones who've gone through it. You see a side of their personalities and life you never would and it helps you understand them a lot better.

Hang in there and hopefully hop back on the wagon Tawny.

She is notorious here in the Cleveland area for her 2002 arrest for spousal abuse. Her husband at that time was then-Indians pitcher Chuck Finley. Wasn't she in Whitesnake's video for "Is This Love"?

Actress Tawny Kitaen has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) following her arrest in September.

The 48 year old was pulled over by police near John Wayne Airport in California, allegedly making "contact with officers after operating a vehicle while under the influence."

Kitaen has now been charged with DUI, according to TMZ.com.

If convicted, the star faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

In November 2006, Kitaen was caught with cocaine at her Orange County, California home, she entered a rehabilitation centre just two months later in exchange for the dismissal of a felony drug possession charge.

She'll never learn. Doesn't Chuck have full custody of the kids? O/T, I remember back when Chuck pitched with the Indians and they were still married, one of the local radio guys called them the "K-Mart version of Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio".
