I heard that rumor, too. I don't think they were/are dating each other, but it sort of brings a whole new meaning to "brotherly love", doesn't it?

A few from Dallas that I know were gay (I'm pretty sure I read on some Dallas website that they were gay).

Dack Rambo (Jack Ewing)
Tom Fuccello (Dave Culver)
Timothy Patrick Murphy (Mickey Trotter)

All of them passed away from AIDS related complications.

A lot of the ones mentioned already, I wasn't suprised that they were homosexual.

I've also heard rumors that Jacob Young (JR, All My Children) and Coltin Scott Martines (aka Stephen Martinez) (Ex-NiKolas #2, GH, Ex-Tony #2, Guiding Light) are gay (or bi-sexual) and were once madly in love. I don't know if it's true or not, but i've heard they were very heavily involved.

I've heard this one lots of times as well.

My #1 favorite gay soap star rumor has to be the one where, supposedly, Marcy Walker left Billy Warlock because she found him in bed with another male soap star.

And of course, it's fairly common knowledge that Van Hansis is just as gay as his character.

Yes, Dack Rambo had to leave his new gig on Another World (as the first Grant Harrison) when he became to ill to keep working. Mark Pinter, who took over the role in 1991 and kept it until the show ended in 1999, would wear a red AIDS ribbon in Mr. Rambo's honor on his suits.

Broadway and TV actor Leonard Frey, who also died of AIDS in the late 80s. He played the "Birdman" in the Barney Miller episode "Escape Artist" from Season 1.

Brando's sexuality was pretty common knowledge in the world of Old Hollywood. He openly talked about it in an interview for a biography of him written in the 70s.

Also, it's been said when he agreed to do "Last Tango In Paris" (1972) he wanted his character to fall in love with a younger man, and wanted an actor who was willing to do sex scenes with Brando on-screen (no stand-ins or body doubles). The studio objected, saying it would keep audiences (especially his female fans) away in droves. His young lover was played by a female.

BTW, next week (May 5) a MAJOR celebrity is 'supposed' to come out publicly in People Magazine (they have the exclusive cover story). No one is saying who it is because they want everyone to be shocked, but it sounds like a 'he' (they are saying the person is an 'action hero' onscreen). The person is also slated to be on many talk shows that week, including 'The View'. We'll see...

My gut instinct tells me it's either Jake Gyllenhaal who has "The Prince Of Persia" coming up soon as an action film, or maybe it's Shia Le Beauf, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Jake seemed genuinely in love with Reese Witherspoon, and they were together a long time. But who really knows? Does Shia Le Beauf have an action movie coming out (no pun intended)?

Not that I think that he's gay (I never got that vibe from him), but what if this rumored major star is Kiefer Sutherland? Now THAT would be a shocker, and he's a well-known action star from 24. Plus, with the TV series ending and the story continuing in a film currently in the works, that would be added publicity.

Who else? Nathan Fillion? Gerard Butler?

Shia was in the Transformers movies, and Eagle Eye...I guess those could qualify him as action star.

Others maybe- Jason Statham, Matt Damon...one people have been waiting for for years Tom Cruise ...of course this is how rumors get started.

Other boards are saying: Steven Sagall or Tom Cruise. "The National Enquirer" has a "Tom Cruise is Gay" type of coverstory for this week, so I'm not dismissing Cruise. TNE likes to jump other's exclusives (in this case, "People") to proudly say "Enquirering minds read it here first."
