Natalie Zea Returns to Hung
In Hung’s first season, Natalie Zea brought a whole lot of crazy to her character, Jemma. And while the actress has since shot a new project for FX, you haven’t likely seen the last of her on HBO.
“We’re trying to work it out,” Zea told TV Guide Magazine at The Diamond Information Center’s 9th Annual Awards Season Diamond Fashion Show Preview held at the Beverly Hills Hotel. “I’m doing a show right now on FX called Justified. Hopefully, the timing will work out. We stop shooting that March. I know they go back to Hung in March. Justified is going to let me off, hopefully, for a few episodes to go back. I don’t know if I’m supposed to be saying that, but there you go.” Last season left off with a minor case of heartbreak for gigolo Ray Drecker (Thomas Jane) who was hurt by Zea’s character after the two became both physically and intimately involved. The finale revealed that Jemma hadn’t paid $2,000 to “date” Drecker, but—rather—to hurt him as a way of coping with her own previous break-ups. “We just scratched the surface on this crazy woman,” she confided. “I don’t think she’s crazy, but everyone else seems to. I think it’d be great if we could get under the surface a little bit more and see where it all comes from. I would like to see that. I’d like to play that.” In the meantime, Zea is focused on her new project Justified, which co-stars the “super dreamy” Timothy Olyphant as her ex-husband. “It’s really, really good. And I never say that about my shows before they air,” she said. “The characters are so rich. The dialogue is so out-of-control good. I’m more excited about this than anything I’ve ever done.” http://www.tvguidemagazine.com/news/...hung-3764.html |
