I've been putting these last set of shows on DVD to keep.......nothing else on TV for me has been this riveting. This show has been part of my life since I was born--heck, my mom listened to it on the radio with her mom! It's like it's going to be a death in my family..yes, it is just a TV show, but this has been part of me, always and now, after next week, it is gone....how will I deal with that?

I do know how you feel. My Mom watched that show in the 1950's and beyond. It was always playing in our house when I was a kid. Then I got addicted to it in the 1980's. I started watching with my Mom and eventually watched by myself. I was a faithful watcher for about 15 years. I haven't watched it in about a decade although I tune into it once in awhile. I'll have to remember to set my DVR to it next Friday. It is definitely the end of an era.

I was really shocked about Allan Spaulding's death on today's episode... definitely didn't expect that. The double wedding was wonderful and it was nice to see all the old faces back at the last...
