Anyone have any idea what it means when your laptop is working, but the screen isn't? I hear it go on, you know that glorious sound when it starts, but there's no picture. It happened earlier while I was packing to leave school, and I had music playing and then I went to move the mouse to do something, and the screen wouldn't come back on. I see nothing. I'm on our home computer right now. I'm wondering if I hit something but I have no idea what.

could be a driver problem, or it could be the backlight (although you'd probably see it just very dark)

plug in an external monitor and see if you can switch displays back and forth (might have to check to see how to do it on yours")

Probs have to take it in to get fixed. Unforunately the place we got it from is an hour away. BALLS.

I honestly think I'm either a really bad computer user, or I'm computer cursed. I always feel that SOMETHING is going wrong with any device that I touch.

what make and model is it?

does it have a VGA plug - its the D-shaped plug that your monitor plugs into your home computer with?

shut both computers off, unplug the your monitor from your home PC and into your laptop and then boot it up
